About the Client:
Our client in the hospitality industry, is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and proactive candidate to join their team as a Barista to engage clients in service delivery with a focus on ultimate customer service and timely fashion.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilitie10s.
Promote special dishes, beverages, or desserts to guests and upsell other products/services, including cocktails and beverages.
Prepare and serve cocktails/Coffee with precision and creativity.
Preparing grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, preparing items for waiters to serve customers.
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. Preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios).
Demonstrate a good understanding of the menu and make recommendations.
Develop a range of creative cocktails and demonstrate barista skills to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
Packaging food and beverages for sale.
Cleaning and restocking work areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, or behind the counter.
Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls, company rules and regulations.
Present bills accurately, process payments, and receipts.
Ensure the Crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
Taking accurate food and drink orders correctly and communicating the order details to the kitchen staff.
Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock taking as required.
Maintain stock of clean cutlery and crockery e.g mugs and plates.
Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
Ensuring that the (HACCP) is adhered to on a daily basis by all members of staff.
Welcome all customer and present beverage and food menu.
Make suggestions and answer any inquiries.
Describe current promotions and new products.
Operate coffee making equipment.
Prepare and present beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards.
Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Key Qualifications
Certificate/Diploma in Food and Beverage/Hospitality or Related field.
At least 2 years’ experience in a busy restaurant.
Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Must be able to make cocktails/Coffee.
Certificate for a barista course.
Coffee brewing knowledge.
Good knowledge and experience in Cocktail making.
Competencies and Skills:
Team player.
Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
High level of attention-to-detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
Uphold high Integrity.
