Quality Assurance Officer

Caritas Dairy, located in Kiambu County, Kenya, is currently seeking a proficient and seasoned Quality Assurance Officer to join our dynamic team at the dairy processing factory. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all dairy products delivered and processed, meet the highest quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a keen eye for detail, and are passionate about food safety, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess the quality of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished dairy items to guarantee compliance with required standards and specifications.Develop and implement robust quality control procedures, encompassing HACCP, GMP, and SOPs.Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to food safety and quality regulations.Collaborate closely with the production team to maintain quality standards throughout the entire production process.Identify and investigate quality issues, collaborating with the production team to implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control checks, inspections, and audits.Engage with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet the requisite quality standards.Provide training and education to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.Ensure proper labeling and packaging of all products.Collaborate with team members to devise and implement quality improvement plans.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in food science, dairy science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy processing and production.Proficient in HACCP, GMP, and SOPs.Knowledgeable about food safety and quality control regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.How to Apply:
