JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Security and logistics coordinator reports to Head of Security and transport Manager and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day security and Logistics operations, supervising internal security officers, out sourced security service providers drivers, mechanics & marshals, to ensuring safety and security of Assets / personnel and efficiency of processes in logistical operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prevent theft and damage to company property.2. Ensure all security procedures are followed by all employees and clients within the areas of operations.3. Ensure all access points and CCTV rooms are properly manned and treated private and confidential.4. Represent the company in case of any legal process in court of law.5. Area of operations risk assessment and recommend for treatment options.6. Oversight any responses delegated to MRT in liaison with RSIIM and Head of Security.7. Ensure all security gadgets/ tools/ equipment are in good working condition e.g., fence, alarms, CCTV.8. Generate daily, weekly and monthly security reports9. Incidents preliminary/ final investigation as they occur with appropriate action taken.10. Authorize for fuel cards use in absence of the warehouse manager upon receipt of authorization from Fuel manager.11. Identify problems with the security procedure and quickly resolve such to ensure that the general purpose of the procedure is maintained.12. Issue security plans and implement them at the work site in compliance with GDL security requirements.13. Proper check of inbound and out bound14. Security liaison with security agencies eg NPS, county a. Law enforcers and local Government administration.15. Perform any other security tasks as may from time to time be directed by security leadership.16. Supervise and coordinate transportation activities, including driver scheduling, route planning, and load management.17. Monitor driver, mechanics & marshals’ performance, including adherence to schedules, compliance with regulations, and safety measures.18. Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and company policies, including vehicle maintenance and driver certifications.19. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards.20. Coordinate with the lead schedule planner to ensure accurate and timely execution of transportation schedules.21. Manage driver assignments and ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet transportation requirements.22. Resolve any issues or conflicts related to transportation operations, such as delays, route deviations, or customer complaints.23. Monitor and maintain accurate records of driver, mechanics & marshals’ activities, including hours of service, mileage, fuel consumption, and incident reports.24. Implement and enforce safety protocols, including driver, mechanics & marshals training, vehicle inspections, and accident/incident prevention measures.
