JOB SUMMARY

The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's computer systems, software, and network infrastructure. This role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software components. The IT Technician will provide technical assistance to end-users and ensure that all systems are operating efficiently. Additionally, they will contribute to IT projects and initiatives to enhance the organization's technological capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users in a timely manner.3. Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and security checks.4. Provide technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely, ensuring high-quality customer service.5. Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.6. Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to implement IT projects and initiatives.7. Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues or bottlenecks.8. Create and maintain documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.9. Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in the IT field.10. Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment and software. Maintain and update technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.11. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT field.12. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet the organization's needs.13. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of computer systems.14. Assist in the planning and implementation of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.15. Implement and enforce IT security measures to protect systems and data.16. Conduct regular antivirus and malware scans to ensure system integrity.17. Assist in the management of software licenses and compliance.18. Provide support for audio-visual equipment and conference room setups.19. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical IT issues outside regular working hours.
