ABOUT THE COMPANY
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is a government agency responsible for the collection, safekeeping, responsible investment and distribution of retirement funds of employees in both the formal and informal sectors of the Kenyan Economy. Participation for both employers and employees is compulsory. NSSF is both a Pension fund and Provident fund.
JOB SUMMARY
Requirements for AppointmentFor appointment to this grade, an officer must have:Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology or any security-related field from a recognized institution; andProficiency in computer applications from a recognized institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:Ensuring protection of NSSF property, office premises, assets, both developed and undeveloped;Liaising with Law Enforcement Agencies on cases affecting the organization;Supervising and training contracted security guards on the Fund’s core security requirements;Coordinating training of staff and other stakeholders on safety, health, security awareness;Drafting and forwarding investigation reports to senior officer security services;Identifying security hazards and report to officer in charge of security services;Conducting Spot Checks to Assess/Evaluate Performance of Contracted security service providers;Maintaining incident, occurrence and confidential register;Conducting surveillance on the Fund’s undeveloped properties to gather intelligence on potential security threats to the Fund’s assets and personnel; andOrganizing the annual emergency drill and participating in the management of emergency situations.
