Council for Legal Education (the ‘Council’) is statutory body constituted under the Legal Practitioners Act (Chapter 27:07). The Council was established in 1992. The Council’s principal governing legislation is the Legal Practitioners Act


Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this grade entail:

Driving motor vehicles as authorized;
Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;
Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle;
Keeping up-to-date work tickets for vehicles;
Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;
Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;
Preparing and submitting reports on transport when the need arises; and
Ensuring the safety of passengers and/or goods therein;

Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a D (Plain) or its equivalent;
A valid driving license;
A defensive Driving Certificate;
First aid certificate;
Occupational Trade Test II;
A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience, three (3) of which should be at the position of driver I or its equivalent; and
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution

Ability to work with minimal supervision
