Minimum Qualification and Experience

PhD/Doctorate in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
Master of Science in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Systems degree or a related area from a recognized/accredited university.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/ Information Technology degree or in a relevant field from a recognized/accredited University..
At least three years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow of which sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal articles.
Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.

Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of these positions is to carry out teaching roles, student and staff mentorship, research and related activities among other duties inline with the University’s overall goal.

To oversee the design and development of curricula, and develop and deliver a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
To exercise leadership in teaching, research and grant writing activities.
To spearhead the development of practical modules or manuals in line with developed curricula.
Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and junior faculty.
Participate in the development, administration and marking of examinations and other assessments
Represent the University in various fora as may be necessary.
Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
