Role Description:

Wise and Agile Solutions Limited seeks a full-time Full Stack Engineer to join our Nairobi County, Kenya team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be tasked with designing and implementing software solutions for complex business problems. Your responsibilities will include developing efficient and scalable web applications primarily using PHP, with a strong focus on Vanilla PHP and popular frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter. Additionally, proficiency in JavaScript and its modern frameworks such as Vue.js and Node.js will be crucial for front-end and back-end development tasks.

Technical Skills: PHP Development:

Expertise in Vanilla PHP for building robust back-end solutions.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter for rapid application development.

JavaScript Development:

Proficiency in JavaScript programming for developing interactive and dynamic user interfaces.

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries including Vue.js for front-end development and Node.js for server-side development.

Front-end Technologies:

Strong command of HTML5 and CSS3 for structuring and styling web pages.

Experience in responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.

Backend Development:

Ability to design and implement RESTful APIs using PHP frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter.

Experience in database design and management using MySQL or MSSQL.

UI/UX Design:

Understanding of user interface and user experience design principles to create intuitive and visually appealing applications.

Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS for rapid prototyping.

Authentication and Security:

Knowledge of authentication mechanisms and security best practices to ensure data integrity and user privacy.

Version Control:

The Full Stack Engineer should have proficiency with version control systems like Git for managing code changes and collaborating with other developers. Soft Skills:

Communication and Collaboration:

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with project stakeholders, team members, and users.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently as needed.

Continuous Learning:

Adaptability and openness to learning new technologies and staying updated with platform updates and new features.

Problem-Solving:

Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development.

Project Management:

Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project objectives.

Adaptability:

Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements and evolving platform capabilities.
