Job Purpose
The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in steering the financial operations of the company. This will involve managing accounting functions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. The role calls for a dedicated, meticulous, and analytical professional who will deliver accurate financial reporting and provide strategic financial insight to management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the general ledger and ensure the timely preparation of monthly financial reports.
Provide financial and analytical support to management, including monitoring operational and sales metrics.
Monitor the allocated budget and manage funds efficiently.
Collaborate with external partners, including auditors and tax advisors, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Manage all tax and statutory filings, ensuring they are submitted on time.
Uphold quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Develop and reinforce business processes and accounting policies for robust internal controls.
Supervise financial contract compliance and facilitate timely renewals.

Requirements
Qualifications :

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or their equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a financial role within an audit or corporate firm, managing general ledger, VAT, and statutory filings.
Proficiency in Accounting Packages, spreadsheets, databases, and MS Office.
Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent presentation and communication abilities.
Proven track record of managing cash flow, accounts receivable, and payable.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with local accounting and compliance regulations.
