Women Enterprise Fund is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth & Gender Affairs established in August 2007, to provide accessible and affordable credit to support women start and/or expand business for wealth and employment creation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties will entail the following:

Formulate, interpret and implement marketing, research and communication policies.
Facilitate the design and rollout of competitive market driven products and services.
Identify and pursue market opportunities locally and abroad to improve market access for women products and services.
Develop and implement communication and marketing strategy for the Fund.
Allocate company resources to maximize collaboration, efficiency and creativity in the building and maintenance of consistent branding or corporate identity across marketing and public relations channels.
Manage all media platforms (social, print, electronic) and liaising with advertising agencies to build a strong brand while maintaining media relations with a view of having PR opportunities.
To undertake and facilitate research activities for the Fund.
Prepare and monitor annual budgets and work plans for the department to ensure all expenditure is within approved limits.
Oversee branding and corporate promotional activities like (print/media, audio/video) content management, and preparation for publishing & design artwork.
Mobilize resources, forging and leveraging strategic and collaborative relationships to support the Funds mandate.
Facilitate interdepartmental communications and managing external communications.
Coordinate corporate events for marketing and creating awareness on the mandates and activities of the Fund, both locally and internationally.
Facilitate establishment of market networks and linkages for beneficiary products and services.
Engage with stakeholders to enhance the corporate image of the Fund.
Supervise and direct the workflow of marketing, advertising or public relations specialists by assigning job tasks.
Facilitating participation of women entrepreneurs in local and international trade forums.
Ensure production of quality research reports and facilitation of business development services.
Liaising with public and private stakeholders to develop strategies to support the mandates of the Fund.
Capacity building of women beneficiaries and their institutions on all aspects of the Funds objectives.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, the job holder must have: -

Bachelors Degree in either Marketing, Communication or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
MBA in either Marketing, Communication, Strategic Management, entrepreneurship or related fields.
At least 10 years of working experience or equivalent position for at least five (5) years in managerial position from a recognized organization.
Professional Qualifications and Membership to a professional Body either from Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) or Public Relation Society of Kenya (PRSK) and be in good standing.
Meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
