Requirements for Appointment

Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Council of Legal Education;
Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for at least three (3) years and have a current practicing certificate;
Must be a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK);
Must meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Possess legal research skills.

The duties and responsibilities include: -

Shall, on the instructions of the county attorney represent the county executive in court or in any other legal proceedings to which the county executive is a party, other than criminal proceedings.
Analyzing research data and compiling reports
Undertaking law review
Interpreting legal instruments and statutes.
Perform any other function that may be assigned from time to time
