Summary
Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for healthcare technology? Veteran Mission Hospital in Syokimau, Nairobi, is seeking a skilled and innovative IT Manager to lead our IT department and oversee a range of responsibilities including graphic designing, website management, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the hospital's IT team, including system administrators, developers, and support staff.
Develop and implement IT strategies and infrastructure to support hospital operations and business objectives.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of hospital websites and digital platforms to ensure functionality, usability, and security.
Coordinate with external vendors and consultants for IT projects and services.
Manage IT budgets and resources effectively to optimize spending and achieve departmental goals.
Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures to protect hospital data and systems.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to hospital staff and end-users.
Lead the implementation and integration of new IT systems and technologies, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Develop and manage disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies for IT systems.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide strategic solutions.
Manage graphic design projects for marketing materials, internal communications, and patient education materials.
Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
Prepare and present IT performance reports and metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Proven experience in graphic designing, website management, and digital marketing.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, network administration, and cybersecurity.
Experience with EMR systems and healthcare software applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
