Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for designing new automated test strategies and frameworks, as well as developing, implementing, and automating testing to meet software test requirements.

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer collaborates with QA Analysts to create, maintain, and improve the test automation framework and automation infrastructure. This role requires innovation, leadership, and mentorship skills, along with a strong technical and programming/test automation skill set.


Key Responsibilities
  • Formulating test strategies by breaking down business and technical requirements into test scenarios, defining test data requirements, overseeing test case creation, devising contingency plans, and preparing for other testing activities.
  • Conducting formal reviews of test plans, designs, and requirements documents with cross-functional teams.
  • Estimating project QA activities and tasks accurately and developing plans and schedules based on these estimates.
  • Implementing Test Automation using test automation frameworks.
  • Executing and documenting planned tests, reporting and managing defects, verifying software fixes for new and existing products, helping development teams replicate and troubleshoot issues, and creating new test automation solutions as necessary.
  • Guiding and training QA Analysts in modern testing practices.
  • Designing, implementing, and overseeing automated suites of black-box and white-box test scripts.
  • Researching, Developing, and/or Recommending tools to support QA Analysts in test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Leveraging tools like code coverage tools to evaluate test suite coverage and suggesting additional test cases.
  • Overseeing test execution across multiple code branches and platforms and conducting code reviews.
  • Managing and maintaining Test Environments.
The Ideal Candidate

For this role, the ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least one professional certification from the following list: ISTQB / ISTQB Agile Tester Certification / Certified Test Engineer (CSTE) / Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) / Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) / CMSQ (Certified Manager of Software Quality).
  • Additional certifications in Project Management would be advantageous.
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology with at least 4 years in IT Projects.
  • 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • 3 years of experience in Software Test Automation.
