Summary


The ideal candidate will have expertise in public sector governance policy and administration, law related to fraud, corporate governance and ethics, governance compliance audit, meeting compliance, and administration.

Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lectures and interactive sessions on various aspects of certified secretarial practice, with a focus on:

Public sector governance policy and administration.
Law related to fraud, including detection, prevention, and mitigation strategies.
Corporate governance principles and ethical considerations.
Governance compliance audit techniques and methodologies.
Meeting compliance requirements and effective administration practices.

Create and update course materials, including lecture slides, handouts, case studies, and assessments, to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.

Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their professional growth and understanding of complex topics.
Conduct research in relevant areas of expertise and contribute to scholarly publications, conferences, and professional forums.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the certified secretarial program and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging best practices in governance, compliance, and administration.
Participate in curriculum development, program review, and accreditation processes as needed.
Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and guest lectures featuring industry experts to enrich students' learning experiences.

Actively engage with professional bodies and associations to maintain connections with the broader community and stay informed about industry developments.

Perform other duties as assigned by the department or institution leadership.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a certified secretary or in a related field, with a deep understanding of governance, compliance, and administration principles.

Hold a relevant professional certification
Previous teaching or training experience in a post-secondary or professional development setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment methodologies.
Proficiency in using educational technology tools and learning management systems for course delivery and student engagement.
Commitment to upholding academic integrity, ethical standards, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
