Role Overview:
To conduct repairs on workshop items, communicate with clients, and oversee workshop operations.

To manage all aspects of solar installations, service agreements, emergency calls, and issue resolution.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to design systems and create visual aids like wiring diagrams for presentations.
  • Receive, record, and provide updates on items brought in for repair at the workshop.
  • Diagnose faults in workshop items, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely repair and return of items based on assessment and client agreements.
  • Handle warranty claims by processing returns or replacements following company policies.
  • Monitor usage of repair parts, assess stock levels, and communicate procurement needs regularly.
  • Oversee service contracts, proactively schedule client visits, and manage contract renewals.
  • Create job entries in CRM for each solar installation project and ensure timely closure upon completion.
  • Coordinate resources such as technicians and vehicles for installations, surveys, and maintenance tasks.
  • Send digital reports to clients including site surveys, service contracts, and troubleshooting details, maintaining clear communication throughout.
  • Ensure adequate stock of installation materials in the inventory.
  • Handle technician payments, invoicing, and store item requisitions efficiently.
  • Manage client interactions, handle inquiries, and invoice all service calls according to company policies.
  • Conduct research, testing, and reporting on new equipment and technologies.
  • Maintain workshop efficiency and organization by implementing kaizen and 6s principles.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or related technical field
- Additional certifications in Basic Plumbing & Electrical are advantageous
- Practical experience in Solar Water Heating, PV, and Power Backup systems installation
- Minimum 3 years of technical expertise in the solar industry
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively in a small team, and manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure
- Strong capacity to understand the intricacies of the energy sector and adapt quickly to market dynamics.
