Join our team as a Design and Optimization Engineer for wireless radio access network communications systems. Work closely with the Senior Manager - Access Network Planning & Design to ensure the best performance of our network.

Responsibilities:

  • Design: Plan, optimize, and model the radio access network, including interference analysis and frequency coordination. Participate in surveys and integration processes.
  • Frequency Retunes: Review and adjust frequency plans to reduce interference levels as new sites are added.
  • Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor site quality KPIs, analyze traffic trends, and optimize resource allocation.
  • New Features: Develop and test new RF features and technologies, coordinate trial testing.
  • Site Database Update: Maintain and standardize RAN database parameters for consistency.
  • Customer Complaints: Address coverage-related complaints promptly and identify potential issues.
  • Processes and Coaching: Develop internal processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support technical evaluations.
  • Innovation: Research new technologies, engage with stakeholders, and stay updated on hardware and software roadmaps.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • 5 years' experience in telecommunications with a focus on Radio Network planning.
  • Knowledge of radio planning tools, capacity planning tools, SQL database, and process automation.
  • Experience with Nokia or Huawei RAN equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with traffic modeling, coverage and capacity forecasting, Core access planning, and LAC dimensioning.
