Job Objective/Purpose
The Cath lab Radiographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional imaging.
Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, including angiography, fluoroscopy, and other specialized imaging techniques.

Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards are met.

Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during Cath lab procedures, providing real-time imaging guidance and ensuring optimal image quality.

Position patients correctly and provide appropriate radiation protection measures to minimize radiation exposure.
Prepare and administer contrast media as required for imaging procedures, ensuring proper dosage and patient safety.
Review and evaluate images for quality, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of findings.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain imaging protocols, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including imaging reports, procedure documentation, and patient demographics.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, infection control protocols, and radiation safety guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, performance monitoring, and implementation of process improvements.

Person Specification

Bachelor's Degree in Radiology.
Master's degree in Radiology is preferred.
Higher Diploma Radiology Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography
Experience with electrophysiology procedures and imaging techniques.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cath lab
Customer focus, empathetic and emotional intelligence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Organizational awareness and attention to detail
Teamwork and result oriented.
