JOB SUMMARY

Our mission is to create productive and fruitful relationships with our clients by adding value to their businesses and ensuring the best return on their Human Capital spend.Job PurposeThe overall purpose of this job is to provide support and facilitation by receiving prescription, analyzing and dispensing medication to patients in line with the established protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in filling, processing, and dispensing medications to patients in safety standards and to ensure quality care for patients;Assist in maintaining the drug inventory through inventory control practices;Initiate procurement process for medications;Keep track and control measures for drugs – ensure there is a prescription accompanying all the drugs request;Participate in Continuous Medical Education (CME) to stay informed;Collaborate with the regulatory body (Pharmacy and Poisons Board) - Pharmaco- vigilance for information on adverse effects/reactions to prescription drugs;Monthly reporting – sales, expenses, breakages, expiries;Ensure proper stock management, including management of expired drugs and supplies, reorder levels, obsolete items, stock movement, stock outs and returns; andAny other responsibilities that may be assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.Knowledge, experience and qualifications requiredDiploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.Membership to Kenya Pharmaceutical Association is an added advantageMinimum 2 years' relevant experience preferably in a hospital environmentKnowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and pharmaceuticsUnderstanding of the human anatomyBasic knowledge of nutrition supplementationDrive and openness to learningTime management skills ,Interpersonal skills , Patient care skills.
