Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Intelligent Cybersecurity, the Systems Engineer – Cybersecurity is tasked with designing, constructing, and providing Cybersecurity solutions to meet business and technical needs, utilizing industry standards and best practices.

This role also involves acting as a go-to resource for handling complex technical support incidents escalated from the support team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, construct, deliver, and manage Cybersecurity solutions to fulfill client requirements.
  • Create documentation for the proposed technology solution and statement of work, including labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with Client Managers to establish pricing format for customer review.
  • Conduct solution design and prepare a comprehensive parts list for components/equipment needed.
  • Develop and oversee proof-of-concept when necessary.
  • Coordinate with all necessary technical resources for precise solution design.
  • Document all deliverables and define criteria for successful project completion.
  • Review proposal accuracy and endorse final documents for client presentations.
  • Support Client Managers in final client presentations, as required.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation for client-delivered solutions.
  • Work with project managers and delivery teams to ensure on-time delivery of solutions to customers.
  • Identify risks, offer alternative solutions, and propose high-quality problem resolutions.
  • Leverage automation where possible to streamline delivery processes and reduce manual tasks.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on various technologies within enterprise Cybersecurity.
  • Provide guidance on change management integration for customer solutions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Experience in designing, implementing, administrating, and troubleshooting Next-generation enterprise firewalls, Network Access Controls, Web Application Firewalls, Web and Email Security Systems, Cloud Security Systems, and SIEM/SOAR solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures, along with network security technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of Zero Trust Network Access.
  • Familiarity with network programmability and automation is beneficial.
  • Ability to create precise diagrams and documentation for Cybersecurity system design and deployment.
  • Proficiency in conducting security assessments and generating reports and recommendations.
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor Security products, industry best practices, and client engagement skills.
  • Prior experience in technical proposal creation, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a collaborative mindset.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity.
  • Cisco CCNP Security certification and expertise in network security certifications such as Checkpoint CCSE, Fortinet NSE7, Palo Alto PCNSE.
  • DevOps certification in scripting and network automation is a plus.
  • Relevant industry certifications like ISO 27001, SABSA, TOGAF, ITIL, or COBIT are advantageous.
