JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for handling all tax related issues while working under and in liaison with the Chief Accountant and the entire finance team for the well-being of the organization. This includes ensuring that all tax and financial transactions are properly recorded and reported in a timely manner, while ensuring compliance on tax matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Tax Compliance – Ensure Tax Compliance with relevant Tax laws and regulations which includes timely filing of returns and related records well maintained.
• Working hand in hand with the Chief Accountant to ensure smooth running of the finance dept.
• Tax Planning - Developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities for the organization and advising on the most tax-efficient ways and tax saving opportunities for business operations.
• Tax Audits and Disputes – Handling Tax Audits, inquiries or disputes with relevant authorities on behalf of the company. Also ensuring all supporting documentation for negotiations with the authorities are available as well as appealing tax assessments.
• Monitoring Compliance – This is by monitoring any changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant. Also ensuring proper updates on all tax related matters. This will also include doing research and analysis on complex tax issues and interpreting tax legislation to assess impact on financial decisions.
• Consultations – Providing guidance on any questions arising on clients' obligations on tax matters are well understood. This involves meetings with clients and discussing tax concerns.
• Financial reporting – teamworking with the finance team and other related departments to ensure accurate tax reports on financial statements, assets and liabilities, deferred taxes etc.
• Company tax advisor – providing strategic advice to the company on all tax matters.
