Temporary Part Time Science Teacher at Peponi House

Peponi House is a co-educational day prep school for children aged 6 to 13. The school was established in 1989 to provide a first-class, independent, co-educational boarding school with an international intake of pupils.

We are seeking a temporary part-time science teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching science in Year 8 and will be expected to offer teaching in other subjects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Teach science in Year 8 and offer teaching in other subjects
    • Be familiar with and experienced in teaching the British Curriculum
    • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils
    • Assess and track pupil progress, setting targets and planning subsequent lessons
    • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and safe learning environment
    • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities, contributing to the school's ethos and raising pupil standards

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications:
    • Degree Level (BA or BSc)
    • Qualified Teacher Status (TSC)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum two years' experience teaching international/British Curriculum
  • Skills:
    • Passion for teaching
    • Appreciation and support for a creative curriculum with cross-curricular links and departmental collaboration
