Job Purpose:

The Radiation Oncologist role involves providing comprehensive care to cancer patients through radiation therapy, ensuring precise treatment planning, delivery, and post-treatment care.



Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosing cancer and determining disease stage
  • Developing treatment plans using radiation therapy techniques
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals
  • Monitoring patient progress and managing side effects
  • Educating patients and families
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Participating in clinical trials and staying updated on research
  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Adhering to regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
  • Masters degree in Medicine in Radiation Oncology
  • At least 1 year work experience in Radiation Oncology
  • Registration with the Medical Council
  • Valid Specialist Practice License
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Chapter 6 compliance
