Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking to recruit an Automotive Technician who will be responsible for diagnosing and servicing vehicle electrical and mechanical systems, with a strong focus on engine management.

This position plays a vital role in adhering to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to deliver effective vehicle repairs, exceptional customer service, and meet Company Performance Targets.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Perform various automotive maintenance tasks like oil changes, tyre rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner recharges, alignments, battery installations, and light replacements.
  • Conduct detailed vehicle inspections, including listening to customer complaints, carrying out diagnostics, repairing engine and system failures, replacing parts, and addressing body damage.
  • Discuss job orders with customers, offer precise repair recommendations, and promptly resolve customer complaints within set deadlines.
  • Complete necessary repairs and perform test drives to ensure vehicle functionality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records and documentation in collaboration with the Service Advisor.
  • Follow Company Health and Safety regulations when handling customer vehicles, workshop tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Isuzu's CSI/PSFU targets by accurately verifying PDI and conducting maintenance updates.
  • Enhance job knowledge by engaging in Isuzu training programs, educational opportunities, and technical publications.

Requirements
  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of automotive-related experience in a reputable institution.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools, equipment, and the ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • GM & ISUZU training is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service and time management skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to workshop and site safety practices.
