JOB SUMMARY
RequirementsRequired experience3 years of experience in relevant fields of which at least two years of progressively responsible experience in sustainable mobility/transport.Proven experience in project management or supporting project management is required.Proven experience in stakeholder engagement with national and/or city government is required.Candidates must be able to demonstrate they are organized, reliable, and efficient. An understanding of how to work effectively as part of a team, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally by taking on new competencies and remaining abreast of developments in the statistical analytics field is essential.A proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of various actors is also required. RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of and reporting to the Head of the Sustainable Mobility Unit of the Industry and Economy Division, the Sustainable Mobility Specialist will undertake the following activities:Work with key stakeholders including national and city government, civil society, academia, and private sector to assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of sustainable mobility projects within Africa, Asia, and Latin America.Assist with monitoring and assessing sustainable mobility projects and programmes through; reviewing relevant documents and reports; identify problems and issues to be addressed and recommends corrective actions; liaise with relevant parties; identify and track follow-up actions.Carry out research on selected aspects of the sustainable mobility programme includ-ing collecting, analyzing, and presenting data and other information gathered from diverse sources.Provide support to national and city sustainable mobility projects including the review and analysis of emerging issues and trends, participation in research activities and studies, and delivery of training and capacity building.Contribute to the preparation of various written outputs, e.g. analytical notes, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc.Provide administrative and substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, etc, to include proposing agenda topics, identifying and proposed participants, preparation of background documents and presentations, handling logistics, etc.Undertake outreach activities; participate in the development of training workshops, seminars, etc.; participate in and make presentations on assigned topics/activities.Participate in field missions, including provision of substantive and administrative support, data collection, etc.Coordinate activities related to budget funding (programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and preparation of related documents/reports (pledging, work programme, programme budget, etc.).Considering gender challenges, opportunities, and mainstreaming in all work areas.Perform other duties as required.
