JOB SUMMARY

IntroductionEnabling Qapital Ltd. Our team, which includes over 55 members who speak more than 21 languages and represent 12 countries, is a testament to our commitment to diversity and inclusion.Enabling Qapital is moving money to meaning Role SummaryThe Portfolio Analyst role is an excellent opportunity to use your skills and experience to contribute to a purposeful mission with global Impact. You will be part of the Portfolio and Data Analytics Team that works on EQ's core analytics tools, MIS, and fund financial models. The Portfolio Analyst is expected to have experience working with complex financial models and apply these skills in developing EQ's analytical infrastructure. The Portfolio Analyst will be provided the opportunity to understand EQ's business model, processes, procedures, and methodologies during the induction period so that they can apply their skills in further developing EQ's analytical data and analytical infrastructure. The key functions of the role include:Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.Conduct financial analysis to support various EQ initiatives, such as new products.Maintain and update funds' and initiatives' analytical tools and portfolio models.Support in creating portfolio analysis reports required by supervisors, the Portfolio Management Team, the Senior Management Team, and/or investors.Conduct in-depth financial modeling and analysis to support strategic decision-making.Prepare detailed country risk analysis reports identifying key risks (economic, political, industry, natural disasters, etc.) and mitigation factors, as well as update existing reports.Assist in the investment selection process of financial institutions/other type of credit providers.Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data from various sources to assess the various funds' financial performance.Manage and support in building and expanding EQ's MIS analytical layer.Supporting cross-functional teams and projects, primarily Risk, Portfolio, and InvestmentsSupport EQ Portfolio Managers on portfolio analytics and translate complex technical concepts into plain language. The successful candidate will be expected to stay current on the latest portfolio analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends while also actively participating in continuous learning and development activities.Who you areWe are looking for a highly motivated and outspoken candidate with working experience in banking or finance with a focus on lending and/or impact investing and a compelling personal background. Key attributes and skills you bring to this exciting role are:Professional communication and presentation skills, with excellent written and spoken English.Proficiency in Microsoft 365.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in either banking, finance, or impact investing.Demonstrate interest in impact investing, emerging markets development, SDG initiatives, green energy, or energy transition projects.Strong analytical and quantitative skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Aptitude to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Whom will you work withThe portfolio analyst will work closely with the portfolio managers, the head of analytics of EQ-advised funds, and the investment team to run the portfolio management models. The analyst will also liaise with EQ's Risk Management team to highlight key risks and support the Senior Management Team in gaining an overview of the fund analytics process.
