Senior Engagement Manager: Inclusive Finance at

As the Engagement Manager for Innovative Finance, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and management of the Pan-African gender lens investment fund. This involves engaging with various stakeholders, such as business leaders, policymakers, and communities, to develop and execute gender-responsive strategies and policies. Additionally, you will oversee the development of junior consultants, contribute to industry advancements, and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong academic background with a minimum of a Master's Degree in an analytical field
  • At least 8 years of professional experience
  • Prior experience in impact investing, specifically in gender-lens investing
  • Familiarity with working with diverse organizations such as foundations, donors, and investors
  • Understanding of financial challenges in Africa and a commitment to driving economic inclusion
  • Proficiency in strategic management, performance measurement, and team coordination
  • Ability to lead multicultural teams in virtual work settings
  • Strong problem-solving skills, client-focused, and detail-oriented
  • Capable of managing workloads effectively and motivating teams
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Advanced digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to engage with various stakeholders
  • Proficiency in other languages is a plus
