Summary

  • The organization is in need of a Technical Director for a USAID-funded long-term initiative. The project is focused on incorporating existing high-quality impact evaluations into USAID activities to enhance decision-making processes.
  • The Technical Director will be responsible for managing impact evaluation and cost-effectiveness aspects of the program, collaborating with various stakeholders, and contributing to the improvement of USAID's programs.
  • This role is subject to funding approval and is projected to commence in September 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and direction to ensure project success
  • Guarantee the quality and completeness of services provided
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with USAID operational policies and procedures
  • Develop appropriate methodologies for all program activities
  • Address challenges with a collaborative and practical approach
  • Review technical writing products and deliverables
  • Implement quality assurance measures for technical activities
  • Identify and manage issues and risks promptly

Requirements:

  • Encouragement for candidates from the Global South to apply
  • Advanced degree in Economics, International Development, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical assistance and research
  • Prior experience in evidence reviews, impact evaluations, and costing analyses
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in other languages preferred
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed
