Supporting the Regional Communications team in Nairobi, the ideal candidate will be responsible produce engaging, interactive, and innovative content for various projects, proposal and appeals for internal and external stakeholders and partners.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesBrainstorming, researching, and creating story boards to communicate IFRC's work, both written and multimedia.
Apply technical skills with video, audio, and photo editing software (i.e., Premiere and After Effects, Photoshop, Motion) to produce projects.
Follow templates for visual/video/audio deliverables.Edit video and photo content.
Supporting team members for shoots both in office and on-location
Catalog and organize footage on the IFRC Shared server.
Sources video/audio assets needed for projects.
Contribute to the development of visual communications products such as PowerPoint presentations, reports and other visual media including infographics, social media assets, brochures etc.
Participate in team meetings, prepare minutes, and help to coordinate follow-up activities.Duties applicable to all staff
Actively work towards the achievement of the Federation Secretariat's Agenda for Renewal in implementing Strategy 2030.
Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles.
Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
Education
Enrolment in or Completion of a University Degree in journalism, communications, graphic design, broadcast journalism. Required.
Experience
Production of audio-visual projects for impact. Required.
Digital design and/or print experience. Required.
Experience of community engagement programming preferred. Preferred.
Broad understanding of Red Cross Red Crescent policies and activities. Preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Languages
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Required.
Proficiency in video, audio, and photo editing software (i.e. Premiere and After Effects, Photoshop, Motion). Required.
Self-supporting in computer skills. Required.
Fluently spoken and written English. Required.
