Your Background & Skills

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's degree highly preferred) in a management discipline or related field
  • Minimum of 14+ years of progressive experience or a master's degree and 13 years of experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and follow-up
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local laws and donors' procurement policies
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support and assist colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication in English and one of the Central Asian languages required
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • Preference might be given to candidates with an opportunity to live abroad

Your Daily Tasks

  • Serve as a focal point on partnership with Central Asian media, as applicable
  • Lead work planning to ensure that project design and all activities consider support to target groups, recommendations, and safety considerations
  • Develop internal and donor-requested documentation package related to the project launch and implementation
  • Provide oversight and technical expertise for project activities in Central Asia
  • Support subgrant and contract arrangements, including drafting scopes of work and collecting deliverables
  • Mentor and accompany IREX partners, ensuring project activities align with schedule and targets
  • Identify target audiences and appropriate means to assist in project development in Central Asia
  • Identify tools, forms, and formats for collaborations that have optimal consumption and cultivate new partner opportunities
  • Advise on program M&E and baseline research tools design
  • Establish, maintain, or cultivate relationships with key stakeholders for continuous project activities
  • Conduct trainings and consultations
  • Identify and facilitate communication opportunities at national and community levels with partners
  • Lead engagement with global stakeholders with minimal oversight
  • Collaborate with IREX staff and global partners
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for high-level stakeholder and donor meetings
  • Participate in donor project meetings to increase awareness and relationship building
  • Create and maintain a database of media support organizations

Additional Responsibilities, as needed:

  • Document and present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise report format
  • Implement daily project programming in Central Asia
  • Support adaptation and implementation of virtual collaborative platforms
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, including data management and analysis
  • Attend program events and provide updates as required
  • Possible travel within Central Asia and other project countries
  • Draft complex documents including training materials and evaluations
  • Assist in office administrative and financial management
  • Monitor subgrants and subgrantees' performances
  • Process and track financial transactions
  • Lead a multinational IREX team in program implementation
