Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Psychiatrist to join our In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) clinic.

As a Psychiatrist specializing in reproductive health, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatments.

The ideal candidate will provide psychological assessments, counseling, and support to help patients navigate the emotional challenges associated with fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Consultation:
Conduct thorough consultations with individuals and couples seeking fertility treatment. Review medical histories, diagnostic results, and provide comprehensive assessments of fertility issues.

Psychological Assessments:
Conduct thorough psychological assessments of individuals and couples undergoing IVF treatments. Assess the psychological and emotional factors that may impact the fertility journey.

Counseling and Support:
Provide individual and couples counseling to address the emotional aspects of infertility, pregnancy loss, and assisted reproductive technologies. Offer support and coping strategies to help patients manage stress and anxiety related to fertility treatments.

Collaboration with Medical Team:
Collaborate with the IVF medical team, including reproductive endocrinologists and fertility specialists, to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.

Preconception Mental Health:
Provide preconception mental health assessments to identify potential psychological factors affecting fertility. Work with patients on mental health optimization before and during fertility treatments.

Educational Support:
Educate patients on the psychological aspects of infertility and the impact of stress on reproductive health.
Conduct group sessions or workshops to address common emotional challenges during fertility treatments.

Crisis Intervention:
Offer crisis intervention and support in cases of pregnancy loss, failed IVF cycles, or other emotionally challenging situations. Collaborate with the medical team to determine appropriate next steps for patient care.

Patient Advocacy:
Advocate for the emotional well-being of patients within the clinic and the broader healthcare system.
Contribute to the development of patient support programs.

Documentation:
Maintain detailed and confidential patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards related to patient confidentiality and record-keeping.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of surgery (M.B.Ch.
B) degree from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
Have a master's degree in psychiatry from an recognized institution
Certificate of registration by the medical practitioners and dentists board
Valid practicing license from medical practitioners and dentists board
Certificate in strategic leadership program lasting not less than 6 weeks from a recognized institution
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
Demonstrated professional competency and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results
