We serve a broad spectrum of clients - Telecom carriers, ISPs &d peering points, IT & cloud providers, content providers, enterprise & financial services customers.

Summary


The role is responsible for the day to day delivery of IT services at iColo across all countries in its portfolio.

This role requires both technical skills as well as management skills.
Responsibilities

Operate and continuously improve the ISO27001 and PCIDSS Information Security Management Systems. Implementation experience would be valuable.
Design and Participate in the business continuity planning and testing for existing and new Data Centers.
Participate in and drive, together with HR, user onboarding and offboarding processes.
Act as a an escalation point for end user support issues.
Communicate with network peers negotiate peering requests and negotiate bandwidth requirements for network links
Manage the AfriNIC relationship
Develop Asset management policies
Manage outsourced IT Services Providers
Identify, specify and source equipment and materials in conjunction with line manager and participate in the procurement process
Attain and report on specified ICT Management metrics including uptime, RTO/RPO
Generate Monthly IT report
Operationalise IT policies and ensure all users adhere
Discuss design and IT needs, and propose possible solutions to management
Maintain network and system security, develop procedures for annuals tests.
React promptly and correctly according to procedure to any security or misuse issues
Monitor networks and systems to ensure security and availability to users.
Evaluate, modify and report periodic systems performance to support capacity planning.
Identify user needs and recommend/implement necessary interventions.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.

Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

Perform all backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary and as per policies and procedures, and report in depth.

Investigate and troubleshoot IT issues and perform root cause analysis and report to management.
Prepare weekly and monthly updates on projects on going, projects complete and uptime
Manage and Support operations on deployment and integration of automated systems

Requirements:
PCIDSS and ISO27001, and ISO Concepts in general
Managing teams and personnel
Planning and budgeting
Certified in Maintenance processes
Hardcore commitment to transparency, ethics and honesty
Personnel Management Skills and Processes
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business and IT, Software Engineering or related field.
Proven management experience minimum 5 years relevant in a busy IT driven working environment.
Mandatory provable experience in Vmware Vsphere and iscsi storage
Mandatory knowledge in enterprise switching and routing (BGP OSPF)
Strong knowledge in Postgres, SNMP, Modbus, PLC, Linux and Networking Protocols an added advantage.n 10 years going to be?
