Job Overview:
Our client is a seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team in Kiambu County.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components to create structures or products according to technical drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various welding techniques, possess excellent attention to detail, and adhere to stringent safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.

Welding Operations:
Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials.

Quality Assurance:
Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.

Equipment Management:
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.

Routine Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers and other team members to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues during the welding process to produce high-quality welds.

Requirements:

Educational Background:
Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding is preferred.

Experience:
Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Teamwork:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Communication:
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Physical Stamina:
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
