Physiotherapist Job Summary: We seek a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in providing rehabilitation services to individuals affected by war trauma and/or torture. The ideal candidate will have expertise in physiotherapy and a strong commitment to humanitarian work.Main Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide group and individual physiotherapy sessions, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychosocial counselors, to develop case management plans and provide ongoing support to clients.
Contribute to community awareness and education initiatives, promoting a deeper understanding of rehabilitation needs.
Assist with designing and implementing training programs for local and international stakeholders, focusing on trauma and health issues.
Requirements:
University degree in physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapy and updated practice license from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
3-5 years of relevant experience in providing physiotherapy and rehabilitative services, with expertise in working with trauma-affected populations.
Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with experience in humanitarian settings and living in harsh climates.
