Duties and responsibilities
At this level will involve carrying out mechanical, plumbing, electrical, masonry, carpentry, tailoring and building works.

In addition, an officer will be required to perform basic repair and maintenance of facilities/equipment and be involved in the production of basic tools/equipment.

For appointment to this level a candidate must have; -

A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (Plus) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Passed the National Trade Test III Certificate in the relevant trade area (Carpentry, Masonry, Painting, Electrical and plumbing) of the Directorate of Industrial Training or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Three years relevant experience; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
