**Job Summary:** The Grants Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of BOMA's grants portfolio, providing support to program teams and ensuring compliance with donor and sponsor policies and regulations.
The Grants Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing hands-on support in writing grants applications and facilitating efficient grants administration and coordination.
- Monitoring progress of grant-funded projects, including goals, objectives, outcomes, deliverables, and contract terms.
- Researching institutional and funding agency policies to ensure implementation and budgets are in compliance.
- Managing internal reporting processes, including generating Budget Vs Actuals (BVA's) and working with program teams to finalize monthly and quarterly adjustments.
- Ensuring high-quality reports are submitted to donors, including supporting the Financial Controller in drafting external reports.
- Developing and maintaining cost analysis for BOMA's budgeting purposes.
**Grant Management & Reporting:** The Grants Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting program teams in maintaining a complete and orderly administrative record of all proposals, contracts, partnerships, grants, and other pre-award and post-award instruments.
- Maintaining a database for reporting and tracking all proposal and grant information and activities.
- Administering existing grants to meet the grant agreement conditions and expectations of external donors.
- Developing internal systems to track and report effectively.
- Administering subcontracts with program partners and other service providers as identified.
- Ensuring compliance with all conditions of the donor contract.
- Identifying risk and providing mitigation strategies for adhering to the donor's grant requirements.
- Monitoring and supporting the use of grants management tools, including BvAs, procurement planning, hire planning, and activity plans.
**Qualifications:** The ideal candidate will have:
- A University Degree in Finance or a relevant field, or a combination of experience and education working in this sector.
- At least 5 years' experience in Grants Management role in a multi-donor program portfolio/organization.
- Prior experience with USAID-funded programs preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Cultural sensitivity.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
