Dairy farm manager sought with expertise in livestock handling, yield optimization, and farm administration for a 50-animal dairy farm in Kilifi.

Our client is an established dairy farming operation in the outskirts of Kilifi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal science and husbandry, with experience in managing a farm.

Responsibilities:

* Handling and caring for dairy cows, including breeds management
* Implementing strategies for maximum yield and farm administration
* Planning finances and production to meet budget parameters
* Monitoring animal health and welfare
* Maintaining and monitoring the quality and quantity of yields
* Knowledge of parasites and diseases, and understanding how to combat them
* Ensuring health and safety standards are upheld across the farm
* Liaising with the marketing and sales team
* Inspecting livestock and ensuring supplies are regularly restocked
* Managing fodder feeds stocks and making requisitions as needed
* Artificial insemination
* Fodder production and preservation

Requirements:

* Diploma in animal science or husbandry, or Bachelor's Degree/HND in Agriculture Science, Animal Science, or extensive experience in managing a farm
* 3-5 years work experience
* Passion for agriculture and dairy animal care
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to work overtime as required
