Duties & Responsibilities

Receive cash from the accountant and be fully responsible for such cash.
Receive cash from customers and pay customers against proper documentation.
Collects payments by accepting cash, cheque, and charge payments from customers.
Provides pricing information by answering customer questions.
Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Prepare the daily cash report reconciling remaining cash with the transactions of the day to establish any shortages or excess.

Management of mobile money transactions e.g. paybill and M-pesa float management.
Collating of cheques for banking.
Petty cash float management.
Any other work as given by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

Business related degree or its equivalent.
Minimum CPA Part 2.
At least 2 years' experience in accounting field.
Proficiency in Ms. Office suite.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be of exemplary integrity and honesty.
Be proactive and have initiative.
