Job Purpose:
To manage the Centre for Green Growth & Climate Change initiatives, coordinate the implementation of the centre strategy, support the commercialization strategy to ensure success, sustainability, and delivery of profitable green growth services.
Key Objectives
Promote Sustainable Manufacturing practices and green transition in industry.
Manage the implementation of the CGGCC strategy and CEEC workplan.
Sales and Marketing of revenue-based services for the profitability and sustainability of KAM
Develop relevant partnerships to support delivery of the centre's goals and strategies.
Data management and analytics to support effective advocacy towards industry's green transition and sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform coordination and supervisory functions to the CGGCC and CEEC for delivery of revenue-based services and knowledge-based value add services and initiatives at KAM Consulting
Review and implement KAM Green Growth Strategy in consultation with the KAM Leadership for the achievement of set annual goals, strategies, and targets (KPIs)
Provide green growth firm level services to industries incorporating best international practices in terms of; Capacity Development, Technology Linkages, process optimization, resource efficiency and promotion of green investment.
Coordinate delivery Energy audits, Water and waste water audits, carbon footprint assessments, process optimization audits, ESG support and specialized technical training in partnership with external experts and service providers as well as offer quality assurance support.
Link bankable green projects at a reasonable facilitation fee with financial partners and develop a strong investment ready pipeline of projects.
Support KAM Consulting Unit Head in development and commercialization of new products to increase revenue streams and profitability of CGGCC.
Develop a resource mobilization strategy and implementation plan to sustain the centre initiatives for the promotion of green competitiveness and sustainable manufacturing.
Coordinate the CGGCC advocacy initiatives in energy, green growth and climate change with the Association of Large Energy Consumers (AOLEC) and Infrastructure, Energy and Security Committee to promote a competitive business environment in the country.
Reporting to Head of Consulting on Centre performance and manage direct reportsPerform any other duty as may be assigned by the Chief Executive.
Requirements & Personal Attributes
Bachelor's degree in Energy, Environment, Climate Change, Engineering, or related field,
A master's degree in relevant field is an added advantage.
Technical experience in energy matters or green growth or circular economy or climate change as an added advantage.
Demonstrated technical sales and marketing experience.
Excellent experience in project management
Over eight (8) years of experience, 5 of which should be in management level positions in a busy and comparable work environment of energy, service of manufacturing sector orientation.
