General Surgeon

The Aga Khan University seeks a General Surgeon to lead quality patient care in the Outpatient Department, support clinical governance, and promote residents' research and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of quality patient care in the Outpatient Department
• Support clinical governance and quality agenda within the cluster
• Assist residents in rotation and implement educational programs
• Set examinations and conduct formative assessments
• Promote and facilitate residents' research and scholarly activities
• Provide clinical services, including in and out-patient care
• Establish clinical services aligned to areas of interest and specialization

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution
• Master's Degree or Fellowship-level training in General Surgery from a recognized institution
• Minimum of three (3) years of practice as a consultant general Surgeon in a reputable hospital
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work flexibly and independently
• Valid practicing license
• Proficiency in computer applications
