About the Position:
We are in search of a Security Supervisor/Controller to supervise Wasoko's security and CCTV operations at various warehouses across East Africa. We are seeking an individual enthusiastic about security, asset protection, loss prevention, business continuity, and investigations.

Reporting to:
Security Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing and updating security policies and procedures.
  • Execute emergency procedures as per the Emergency Response Plan when necessary.
  • Conduct Loss Prevention audits.
  • Accurately document all significant activities during a shift in daily Officer Reports and incident reports.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the building.
  • Assist the Security Manager in investigating thefts, accidents, and employee matters.
  • Monitor individuals in various locations to detect suspicious or unusual behavior.
  • Work with security staff or local authorities to provide detailed intelligence about suspects.
  • Ensure proper functioning of the CCTV system and adequate recording and storage of video footage.
  • Provide access to CCTV recordings or copies of footage for inquiries.
  • Collaborate with different Departments for safety and security training.
  • Ensure all security employees adhere to Wasoko's standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Security Service providers to guarantee efficient guarding and Cash In Transit services to the bank.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Post-Secondary Certificate in Security Studies.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in security operations.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management and FMCG products.
  • Experience in loss control is a plus.
  • Proficient in managing outsourced security companies.
  • Knowledgeable in security procedures, criminology, and investigations.
  • Extensive experience in CCTV control room operations, security, investigations, and personnel management.
  • Thorough understanding of electronic and physical security systems.
  • Strong observation skills with attention to detail.
  • Quick thinking and logical problem-solving in emergencies.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other agencies.
  • Perseverance and patience in challenging situations.
