We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to join the prestigious Crystal Recruitment Ltd in South Sudan.
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and dedicated culinary professional with expertise in leading high-performing kitchen teams in luxury environments.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Executive Chef to take on complete control of the kitchen, driving innovation and excellence in food preparation, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities to ensure seamless execution of menus and services.
• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards, staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry.
• Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in conditions that meet company standards and health code regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for staff.
• Supervise kitchen staff's activities, recruit, train, manage, and supervise kitchen staff to achieve exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Rectify arising problems or complaints, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Give prepared plates the final touch, ensuring presentation meets the highest standards.
• Perform administrative duties, including payroll, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
Qualifications:
• Proven working experience as a Head Chef in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants.
• Degree in culinary science or related certificate, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations, menu planning, and cost control.
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) to streamline kitchen operations and improve efficiency.
• Excellent record of kitchen management, with a proven track record of achieving high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently, think critically, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Capable of delegating multiple tasks, communicating effectively with team members, and leading by example.
• Keep up with cooking trends and best practices, staying current on industry developments and innovations.
