  • About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned finance expert to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of finance, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement annual budgets and financial forecasts in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  2. Conduct regular performance analysis, comparing actual results to budgeted figures and providing insights to senior management.
  3. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting.
  5. Monitor and manage cash flow, optimizing liquidity to meet operational needs.
  6. Implement strategies to efficiently manage working capital, balancing receivables and payables.
  7. Identify and assess financial risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  8. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  9. Evaluate investment opportunities, providing recommendations for capital allocation.
  10. Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  11. Implement measures to control expenses while maintaining operational effectiveness.
  12. Develop tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
  13. Ensure compliance with local authorities and internal controls.
  14. Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  15. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance function.
  16. Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing finance team.
  17. Present financial information to stakeholders, providing insights into financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  18. Manage communication with investors and analysts regarding financial results and strategies.
  19. Manage accounts receivable, processing remittances, reconciliations, and distribution of statements.
  20. Full management of fixed assets, including asset register, depreciation, and location.
  21. Ensure smooth operations of all finance-related matters.
  22. Preparation of management reports, financial statements, and other financial-related reports and correspondence.
  23. Resolution of finance-related queries.
  24. Collaborate with department heads to optimize cost efficiency, monitoring expenditure and revenue generation.
  25. Manage creditors and ensure timely payments, taking into account settlement discounts.
  26. Oversee debtors collection and problem-solving assistance.
  27. Maintain and nurture strong relationships with banking partners to optimize financial services.
  28. Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers while maintaining positive relationships and optimizing cash flow.
  29. Maintain records and documentation for financial transparency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Financial Management.
  • CPA certification is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally in the hotel sector, with at least 5 years' experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
