Summary:
This role involves identifying and securing strategic partnerships with organizations, fostering collaborative relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential partners through research and networking.
- Cultivate and maintain existing partnerships to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive partnership strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
- Lead negotiations and manage partnership agreements to ensure successful collaboration.
- Strengthen relationships with educational institutions to foster long-term collaboration and support.
- Collaborate with program teams to identify needs and opportunities for partnership support.
- Ensure that partnership activities are integrated into program planning and implementation.
- Support program teams in managing relationships with partners and ensuring successful project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with the African development landscape and key stakeholders.
