Job Title: Partnership Development Specialist

Summary:

This role involves identifying and securing strategic partnerships with organizations, fostering collaborative relationships, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential partners through research and networking.
  • Cultivate and maintain existing partnerships to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive partnership strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Lead negotiations and manage partnership agreements to ensure successful collaboration.
  • Strengthen relationships with educational institutions to foster long-term collaboration and support.
  • Collaborate with program teams to identify needs and opportunities for partnership support.
  • Ensure that partnership activities are integrated into program planning and implementation.
  • Support program teams in managing relationships with partners and ensuring successful project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with the African development landscape and key stakeholders.
