Chef/Cook Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Kenyan and international dishes, as well as managing the kitchen team and ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide range of Kenyan meals efficiently and consistently.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff including cooks, stewards, and kitchen assistants and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Customer Service: Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure customer feedback is addressed.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • A diploma or degree in food production or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a busy restaurant or hotel.
  • Proven knowledge of Kenyan and continental cuisines.
