Job Title: Migration Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Migration Assistant to join our team at the Embassy of Sweden in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling residence, student, and work permit applications, conducting interviews with applicants, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle residence, student, and work permit applications
  • Conduct interviews with applicants
  • Handle visa applications and follow instructions from decision-makers
  • Handle resettlement cases, including communication with IOM/UNCHR
  • Verify documents
  • Respond to applicants' queries, both in writing and over the phone
  • Registration and archiving
  • Other duties, as required or decided by the Ambassador

Requirements:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • University degree in a relevant field
  • At least two years of relevant working experience, in the field of migration, international relations, or global studies
  • Documented administrative competence and computer skills

Added Advantages:

  • Experience from work at authorities handling migration or legal matters
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Swedish

The Embassy of Sweden does not sponsor visas/work permits. Work permits will not be arranged by the Embassy.
