Overview:
As a Road Infrastructure Supervisor, you will oversee the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure projects. This involves ensuring that all site activities comply with safety regulations and building codes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Monitor site records and ensure timely submission as required.
- Collect and analyze data on road inventory for roadwork programmes and cost estimates.
- Conduct engineering surveys for roads and other structures.
- Provide inputs into design processes.
- Develop geometric design from survey results using AutoCAD and/or other appropriate software.
- Review hydrological and drainage designs and modify as per project requirements.
- Supervise contractors on site to ensure high-quality work meets standards.
- Monitor construction and rehabilitation works, including environmental mitigation and safety plans.
- Review contractor's work programmes, resources, schedule, and project implementation plan.
- Ensure all works meet specifications and quality materials are used.
- Assess and evaluate contractor's performance and resources.
- Prepare drafts for contractual correspondence and interpret contract conditions and specifications.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field plus 7 years relevant site work experience in supervision of Civil Works.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office applications, including MS Project, and engineering computer applications like AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of Contract Management for Civil Engineering Works.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Proven track record in running projects.
