Role Overview:

This role is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for general accounting and ledger maintenance, reviewing financial transactions, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of ledger entries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly balance sheet and other financial reports.
  • Resolve discrepancies arising from reconciliations accurately and promptly.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actions to improve financial efficiency.
  • Monitor cost trends and variances and provide detailed reports to management.
  • Perform reconciliations for bank, M-Pesa, and cash accounts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate project profitability, cash flow projections, and return on investment.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, relevant tax regulations.

Requirements:

  • Candidate should hold a CPA Intermediate Level certification or Diploma in Finance/Audit.
  • A minimum of 2 years' work experience in a busy work environment is required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office suite, is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge in accounting principles, financial reporting tools, and QuickBooks is necessary.
  • Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
