Diplomatic Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an intern in the Swiss Embassy in Nairobi. This exciting opportunity will provide you with valuable insights into the work of a Swiss diplomatic mission in a dynamic region of Africa.

As an intern, you will support the embassy in various tasks, including project work, analysis, and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Policy: Conducting research and analysis on Kenya and Uganda, as well as contributing to human rights reports.
• Multilateral Work: Participating in meetings with UNEP and UN-Habitat, preparing meeting materials, and drafting reports. Coordinating with federal authorities.
• Economy: Conducting research and assisting with the embassy's economic report.
• Project Management: Managing projects related to human security.
• Representing the Embassy: Attending events and representing the embassy in a professional manner.
• Networking: Building and maintaining contacts.
• Communication: Supporting the management of social media channels.

• Completed higher education degree.
• Strong interest in politics, economics, and international relations.
• Languages: Proficiency in two local languages and excellent English skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to think creatively, teamwork, and proactivity.
• Interest in foreign cultures and professional behavior.
• Interest in communication and social media.
