Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist will play a pivotal role in the organization by executing and overseeing all procurement activities. This includes managing materials and items needed for construction projects, ensuring conformity to project specifications, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to guarantee that procured materials meet project requirements.
  • Identify, prequalify, and engage reliable vendors and suppliers while maintaining an up-to-date database.
  • Pursue completion of procurement-related forms and acquire price quotes from suppliers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms on cost, payment, and delivery.
  • Evaluate new agreements and contracts with suppliers to ensure feasibility.
  • Develop long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Create purchase orders and arrange for delivery of materials and services.
  • Forecast vendor and supplier payments to facilitate planning.
  • Curate audit trails and documentation to satisfy the finance department.
  • Generate procurement reports.
  • Manage inventory levels and store materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management or related fields.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in procurement, preferably in real estate and construction industries.
  • An understanding of market trends and international sourcing processes.
  • Proficiency in supplier management software.
  • Knowledge of logistics management is a plus.
