Job Purpose

Our client, a well-established and growing real estate company, is looking to hire a reliable and proactive IT Officer to support and maintain their IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless technology operations, strengthening cybersecurity measures, and providing technical support to all departments. The role requires a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment and has a strong foundation in systems administration, hardware and software troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems & Network Management:

  • Maintain and monitor the company's IT infrastructure including hardware, software, internet, routers, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and support servers, email systems, and ERP/CRM software tools.
  • Administer networks, manage user access, and ensure optimal system performance with minimal downtime.

IT Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide timely and effective end-user technical support (onsite and remote).
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various devices and platforms.
  • Document and follow up on recurring issues and proactively implement solutions.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection:

  • Implement and maintain firewalls, antivirus software, backup solutions, and access control systems.
  • Ensure secure data storage, regular system backups, and business continuity protocols.
  • Conduct periodic audits of IT systems to ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards.

Vendor & Asset Management:

  • Liaise with vendors for the procurement of IT equipment and services, ensuring quality and value for money.
  • Keep an updated inventory of IT assets and manage hardware/software life cycles.
  • Track licenses, renewals, and warranties for all IT equipment and tools.

Policy & Compliance:

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and IT governance standards.
  • Educate employees on IT security policies and digital safety awareness.

Innovation & Strategy:

  • Identify opportunities to improve the organizations IT setup and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align IT systems with business goals and operational needs.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar IT support or administration role (real estate or construction industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networking, and security fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, cloud systems, and collaboration tools.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or MCSE/MCSA is an added advantage.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
